The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a pathway to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers and international graduates from a Canadian institution who want to work and live in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland and Labrador. The program helps employers hire qualified candidates for jobs they haven’t been able to fill locally.
Please note that employers must attend intercultural competency training before they apply to be designated by the province. If you have NOT yet taken the intercultural competency training, you can learn more about this requirement and find a course near you, here.
If you are an employer and want to hire someone through the Atlantic Immigration Program, visit IRCC’s website here.
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has established the Dedicated Service Channel (DSC), a team focused on providing specialized immigration services and support to employers. The DSC offers a range of personalized assistance and education for Atlantic employers. Employers can access information sessions and learn more about the DSC’s services here.
The DSC Outreach team supports employers who are not designated under the AIP. Employers in this category can contact the team at promotion@cic.gc.ca.
For employers designated by their province under the AIP, specialized support is available through the dedicated DSC team at ircc.dscaip-piamsr.ircc@cic.gc.ca.
